A few people have contacted us and expressed some confusion with the supervisor role. This came as no surprise since we knew it wasn’t intuitive. With the feedback we received, it became clear it needed to be changed.

Being assigned a supervisor role meant you were given some employer privileges but you were also an employee. For this reason, having two views seemed appropriate. A supervisor had to manage his/her view by selecting “employee view” or “employer view”. What we realized was that switching from employee view to employer view was confusing. Some menu items existed on one view and not on the other. There was little distinction as to which view you were on. Having to swap back and forth was annoying to say the least.

Today, that has changed. If you’re assigned a supervisor role, you no longer need to swap between the employee view and the employer view. Since the supervisor view contains mostly employer options, we simply merged the two together.

The biggest change you will probably notice is the availability menu item. If you hover over it as an employer, you will see two options:

You can manage your own (add/edit/delete) or view all submitted availability.

Hopefully this makes everybody’s life easier!
