Some of you may have received an email a few days ago saying there was going to be some down-time at 10PM central on Wednesday night. The down-time was to add some updates to 7shifts.

Wall

We’ve always felt the wall was never really complete. We spent some time to bring it back to life and make it more useful for employees and employers.

The old wall just accumulated all the wall posts, creating a never-ending scrolling page. The new wall now has better styling and the ability to go to different pages of posts.

Wall posts are now searchable. This will come in handy if you remembered that there was an important note on the wall about a staff party, but you cannot remember the details. Just search “party”.

Since the goal of a wall is improve communication, it’s important to know when someone on your team posts to it. When someone posts a message on the wall, everyone is now notified by email.

Now whenever an employee or employer logs in, they will see a “!” in their navigation. This indicates that there are unread wall messages.

Billing

Payment will not longer be done through PayPal.

The problem with PayPal is that our customers are taken away from the site to pay. You pay for “X” months, then you have to go back to PayPal after “X” months expire and re-enter your credit card info (if you don’t have a PayPal account). We received considerable amounts of feedback that this was inconvenient, so we’ve decided to make it easier.

We now accept payment directly through 7shifts.com – a common practice for online companies. After you enter your credit card once on our secure billings page (we do not store any credit card info), your card will be billed monthly until the account is cancelled. That way you will never have to re-enter your payment information over and over.

You can always upgrade your account with the click of a button (once you’ve made your initial payment through our new payment system).

Month to month, pay as you go, no commitments, cancel anytime.
